Dr. Olexa is a native of the Cleveland area and was raised in Brecksville, Ohio. After undergoing multiple knee surgeries secondary to athletic competition in high school he became interested in treating athletes and sports related conditions. Since that time he has dedicated the majority of his life to understanding and improving the art of orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Olexa is experienced in arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, knee, ankle and elbow conditions. He is the chairman of The Sandusky Shoulder Conference in which expert surgeons instruct on the latest treatment options for shoulder disorders. This course provides continuing medical education for training surgeons as well as medical professionals.
He continues to be involved in lifelong learning of orthopedic surgery. In April 2008, he was awarded the Arthroscopy Association of North America Traveling Fellowship. This involved traveling across the country working with world leaders in arthroscopic surgical techniques.
